While driving along the edge of a burnout operation, we came across this fallen tree being consumed by ferocious flames. After jumping out of the truck to take a few photos, I was hurried back into the vehicle by the Division Supervisor who was afraid the mirrors of his truck would start melting if we stayed there much longer. This photo was taken with a wide angle lens, and yep, it was that hot!
