Alkefjellet, which rougly translates to ‘Bird Mountain’, is a spectacular stretch of granite cliffs along Lomfjordhalvøya, Spitzbergen (Svalbard), where more than 60,000 Brunnich’s Guillemots nest on the towering cliff face.
